This Week's Best New Country Songs Playlist 2022

Even a person who has grown up in the same house their entire life, can feel like their house is just a house - a building devoid of home. Sometimes all you need is a simple country tune like this one to get you through your day. Dylan Scott has mastered the art of writing love songs, and it shows. This one is about putting as much space between you and your ex as possible, with a little help from an airplane ticket out of town. "I think everybody related to it, regardless of whether they were raised in the country or city, because everybody has a home in their memory." Is an absolute gem, and despite the clearly modern production, even classic country fans can't help but appreciate Pearce's earnest emotion and mature, earthy vocal.

She co-wrote “Motel On The Moon” with Dave Thompson and Patricia Conry in response to a partner letting you know they need space. So, through poised vocals, Arts takes things to the next level by saying she will travel far beyond Earth to give them the space they claim to need. Listeners are hearing from a fresh batch of rising artists like Shane Profitt, Jay Allen, and Ashley Cooke, as they’ve recently dropped new music. Jeffrey Steele, who co-wrote the song, released the recent single “Walk Toward the Fire,” a tribute to the late Andrew Breitbart to help mark the tenth anniversary of his death, which he penned with Breitbart’s own Jon Kahn.

Every week we wait patiently for that fresh batch of new tunes from our favourite superstars and fast-rising acts. Whether it's Miranda Lambert or Ashley McBryde, BRELAND or Eric Church, we all want to dig in and get our dose of brand new music. I grew up in a rather liberal area of New Jersey before going to Virginia for school.

In the song, Ellis sings about feeling happy and content with a person that fits into her life like a glove. As the year comes to a close, the final few rounds of new releases dive into all the different emotions that come with the holidays. Some make their way home to catch up with old friends, reflect on past relationships and do some baking, while others just take the chance to slow things down and enjoy the present. This week, listeners are hearing from a slew of artists rising to the top of their game like Austin Burke, Laci Kaye Booth, and Brooke Moriber, as they’ve recently dropped new music.

Not very original with our song titles are we?

But despite Mark’s efforts to ensure that everyone has the freedom to practice what they believe, when the authorities get wind of his antics, Mark is taken to court and forced to defend his mental health and Maccabean authenticity. Despite his reputation as a standup guy, after years of being excluded from the holiday movie rotation, the mensch is finally back to steal some TV airtime for the Jews. As the religious underdog, the mensch has to channel his inner Judah Maccabee to rise up against the masses and ensure that Hanukkah gets the media representation it deserves. I have met many people in my life that get uncomfortable when a politically charged topic comes up. With the amount of friction in politics these days, people are scared of coming under fire even if they are knowledgeable about politics. However, what I have noticed is that when people have a level of respect for a person they are conversing with, the conversation has a much more likable outcome and is important for the greater idea of bipartisanship. The stipulation on this rule is that a person does not have to be respectful of another's views when those views are rooted in hatred or threaten your wellbeing. If you are from a state that receives little to no snow every year you most likely have a different picture of what it like. Which may be like not being able to see the grass and having your version of Frosty the Snowman on your front yard where you dug up rocks and sticks and grabbed someone in your family scarves and hat because you didn't want the snowman to be cold.

And after that, you will need to throw down either rock salt or cat litter to help melt the ice underneath or give you some traction when walking so you don't fall. Yes, those videos of people falling from ice are hilarious to watch but if you're the one who fell you probably won't be laughing. And those days off of school you will either make up during your spring break, other days off the school was going to give you or your last day will be pushed back until you reach 180 days.

If you love Netflix, and wish it was safe to watch the latest episode of your favorite show and drive, then Homecoming is for you. The thriller tells the story through phone calls and therapy sessions, making you feel like you're in the midst of movie on your drive home. This podcast is perfect for those who love true crime, but don't like the rather grim reality of what takes place. Every week, comedians Kilgariff and Hardstark get together and tell the story of their latest favorite murder, retelling the tales of famous killers like Ted Bundy, Albert Fish, John Wayne Gacy, and many more. They touch on each story with humor, making each episode enjoyable but intriguing. Sit back and relax while the two grab your attention and leave you asking and wanting more.

I went to music, because, well, what better depiction of the human experience? Jimmie Allen dedicated this bittersweet song to his late father, and we're feeling all kinds of emotions. Of late 1970s country goodness, and "Lonely For You Only" kicks the album off in an unapologetically classic way. Though Cam's new song "Diane" is still notably poppy, the spiritual sequel to Dolly Parton's infamous "Jolene" shows Cam isn't afraid to go way outside the box with her new music. With a strong a cappella intro and lo-fi acoustic guitars and stomping, the song carries more energy than "Jolene" but views the age-old tale of infidelity from a new perspective.

But when her friend invites her to a Christmas party and she meets a handsome lawyer, Rachel is torn between the two great guys and can’t decide whom to bring home for Hanukkah. After skipping Hanukkah last year because of her divorce, Sarah Spiegel’s Jewish guilt finally leads her to book a flight home for the holidays. But after Sarah’s mom invites the hot new rabbi over to light the candles, Aunt Esther burns the latkes, and Uncle Saul forgets all the presents, this Spiegel family Hanukkah party spins out of control faster than a game of dreidel. This interfaith tale tells the story of a young Jewish girl who, much to her bubbe’s chagrin, wants to marry a non-Jewish guy. Despite her grandmother’s plotting (spiking his Manischewitz, making him schlep her to and from the kosher butcher, etc.), young love prevails and the happy couple marries on the last night of Hanukkah, which this year, happens to fall on Christmas Eve. My ever-growing list of songs went from pen/paper, to my iPod (remember clickwheel On The Go playlists?), to 8tracks (the website, I'm not THAT old), to where it now dwells on Spotify.

The video concludes with shots of Americans of various ethnicities and religions celebrating their patriotism and love of country. We've got a hefty selection of brand new bangers that have been released on our Best New Country 2022 playlist. Being a political science major, I understand that I want to talk shop more than the average person. Not everyone feels the need to constantly worry about the state of the union or the welfare of the environment.

She also intertwines a sample of faith through a vulnerable conversation with God that begs the idea that there is a bigger plan at stake. For country music fans looking to take a deeper dive beyond the surface. "Talking Behind Your Back" is one of a handful of songs Womack co-wrote on the record, and certainly one of the most traditional.

The rising artist co-wrote this song along with Blake Bollinger and Nate Kenyon, and the result is nothing short of a good time. Profitt is giving listeners a boost of energy with his elevated vocals and hard-hitting lyrics that will make you want to grab your cowboy hat and your best toe-tapping boots. If you're a country music fan like Ree and the rest of the Drummond family, there are probably too many to name! Everyone's personal country catalog varies and is probably ever-growing, too. That's why we think it's so great that there are always amazing new country songs being released. This month, listeners are hearing from No. 1 hitmakers like Matt Stell and viral TikTok country newcomers like Halle Kearns, as they’ve just released new music.

It could be “wherever the wind blows, wherever this life goes,” to quote from the chorus. Dierks Bentley is ending the year on a “High Note” with his new song featuring Billy Strings. Co-penned by Charlie Worsham and Jim Beavers and produced by Bentley alongside Ross Copperman, Jon Randall and F. Reid Shippen, this song is a true shot of serotonin with its upbeat stylings and witty references to weed.
